To pass the time I occasionally read National Geographic articles online.  And look what I discovered there today: miniature chameleons that were recently found in Madagascar!


They fit on the end of a match stick - how adorable is that?!  I find it amazing that after all this time we are still discovering new species.

It's been a very long time since I've posted here. It's partially because I forgot about this journal, partially a lack of time, and partially a lack of interest. Lately though I've been finding that I've been drawn back and have an urge to keep this journal alive for a little longer, even if I am the only person around who appears to be sticking with LJ over other blogging platforms.

Recently I've been in a mood to shop, and like journaling here, it hasn't happened in a long time. My issue this time is that I'm 6 months pregnant and can't fit into a lot of the clothes that I'm drawn to. That hasn't stopped me entirely and I've picked out the following items (mostly from Aeropostale) that I think are great for summer and might possibly fit around my burgeoning belly and still be wearable after this baby is out of me.

Among other things, I appear to be on a bit of a floral kick. 

Everything has been about Harry Potter for me recently and I've been loving it!  Everything from the new movie, to the Lego game for Wii, to my attempt at cauldron cakes, to this fabulous compilation of Harry Potter quotes!

I'm in love.  I want to do a full re-read of the series sometime.  I have recently re-read the Deathly Hallows in preparation for the movie and I couldn't put it down. 

I see now that there's a Lego Harry Potter app available for my iPod Touch.  I am so close to buying it; is $4.99 too expensive for an app?  To me, hours of entertainment and magical ability is priceless!

I like to clean.  I don't know what it is, but I enjoy tidying up and making the surfaces gleam.  It's been that way since I was a teenager, which is likely why my Mom bought me the Scotch Brite Glass Cloth.  Maybe she was trying to tell me something - but I think the more likely story is she knew how much I would love the cloth!

I've been using the Glass Cloth for over a year now and it's something I just can't do without!  It's got a microfibre texture, so all you have to do is get it damp and then wipe away to your hearts content.  The best part is that it's super fast and doesn't leave any streaks behind!  The key is to not leave too much water in the cloth - make sure it's really wrung out well - or else you might see some water spots. 

Having a toddler who likes to sit in our bay window and leave dribbles of milk on our glass coffee table certainly gives me plenty of opportunity to use the cloth and I have never been disappointed.  Plus it has the added bonus of using just water to clean the surface, so I don't have to worry about any residue or accidentally leaving out a bottle of glass cleaner.  Seriously, it's the handiest little cloth!  I even use it to dust with when I'm in a rush and it's always done a fantastic job on all surfaces.

When it's time to be cleaned, all you have to do is throw the cloth in the laundry and it's good as new.
